Annie McNamara is a New York–based artist and creative strategist exploring the intersection of storytelling, place, and memory through visual media.
Inspired by coastal towns, local landmarks, and nostalgic Americana, her work celebrates the businesses, gathering places, and everyday icons that shape community identity. From neighborhood bars and ice cream stands to marinas, motels, and roadside institutions, she creates pieces that capture the character, history, and sense of place embedded within the American landscape.
Alongside her artistic practice, Annie develops creative strategy for HBO crafting narrative-driven campaigns across motion and static media. This background informs her approach to art, blending visual storytelling with a deep interest in the places people return to, remember, and share across generations.
Her work is currently represented by The Spotted Whale in Beach Haven, New Jersey.
